Our 10-year-old single malt is typically characterised by a robust, smoky, and maritime profile that has matured enough to balance intense peat with coastal, sweet, or fruity undertones. Key notes include heavy peat smoke, iodine, seaweed, brine, citrus, and vanilla from bourbon casks.

Palate and Finish: At 10 years, this whisky often achieve a balance between powerful, earthy peat, and a more refined, slightly sweet, or oaky finish. It is long and warming on the finish.
At ten years old, the whisky is young enough to retain its vibrant, intense, and untamed nature but has spent enough time in the cask to develop some complexity beyond just smoke, frequently displaying a 'sweet and sour' or 'smoky sweetness' character.
Gaoth Na Mara - Characteristics

Our 16-year-old single malt is characterised by a refined balance of intense, coastal peat smoke and enhanced maturity, featuring significant influence from our sherry cask maturation. This whisky generally exhibits a velvety, full-bodied texture with notes of dark fruits, chocolate, and oak, balanced with earthy smoke and sea spray.

Aroma: Intense, layered smoke mixed with dried fruits, dark chocolate, treacle toffee, and subtle coastal brine.

Palate: Velvety, full-bodied, and smooth. A complex mix of rich, spiced, or sherried sweetness (dark fruit, citrus) combined with bold, ashy, or maritime smoke.

Finish: Long, warm, and complex. Lingering notes of dried fruits, gentle peat smoke, roasted coffee, or sea spray.

Maturation: We use a combination of Bourbon and Oloroso Sherry casks, which contributes to a deep, often dark, amber colour and rich, balanced, and sometimes 'darkest' or 'sherry-forward' flavour profile.
At sixteen years old, the initial, often harsh smoky intensity of a younger Islay malt often mellows into a more complex, structured, and sweeter smoke.

Our 25-year-old malt whisky is characterised by a sophisticated, complex, and mellowed profile, where the intense, youthful peat smoke of the island has matured into refined notes of coastal ash, leather, and dried fruits. This rare, long-aged whisky typically features deep golden colours, delicate oily textures, and a harmonious, long finish.

Nose: Rich and layered, often featuring a mixture of restrained medicinal peat, iodine, seaweed, and sweet smoke, frequently complemented by tropical fruits (pineapple, mango), caramel, and toasted oak.

Palate: The experience is often creamy or oily, with the harshness of youth long gone. Expect to find a balance between sweet, toffee-like, or fruity notes (apricot jam, citrus) and savoury, smoky flavours.
